Grana Padano is a sweet, yet savoury Italian cheese matured for a minimum of 12 months and it has a sharper and saltier flavour than Parmigiano Reggiano. Its grainy texture (hence the word Grana) ensures that it is excellent for both grating and cooking.
It is superb eaten on its own cut into chunks or slivers; Grana is delicious served with ripe pears and a good red wine or in salads.
