Taleggio’s melting qualities make it ideal for cooking to add smoothness to the dish. The cheese is ivory-white, compact, soft and melts in the mouth. Fragrant, tasty and soft on the palate, it is perfect accompanied by a medium bodied red wine.
Taleggio should be eaten as fresh as possible after purchasing and can be kept in the fridge at max + 4°C for a day or two.

Taleggio is quite a young cheese, reaching maturity after only 6 weeks. Taleggio can be eaten on its own as a table cheese and makes an interesting addition to a cheese board with its distinctive orange rind.
